England won the third test against India at the Lord’s by 22 runs.

The England Cricket Team completed a magnificent win in the third test of the five-match series against the Indian Cricket Team. The game between the two teams was played at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

England, who batted first, had a decent outing with the bat as they piled up 387 runs on the board. Joe Root was the top run-getter for his team as he slammed a blistering ton, scoring 104 runs off 199 balls.

Jamie Smith (51) and Brydon Carse (56) also hit magnificent fifties as they went past 380 runs on the board. For India, Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged five wickets for the first time in his career at the Lord’s.

India had a similar outing with the bat as well. KL Rahul hit a century while opening, while Rishabh Pant (74) and Ravindra Jadeja (72) hit fifties. The visitors looked favourites to take the lead but they suffered a batting collapse in the end and got all out for 387 runs.

In the second innings, Indian bowlers were right on the money with the ball as they bundled out England for 192 runs. Washington Sundar bagged four wickets as the visitors set themselves a total of 193 runs to chase.

However, they had a torrid outing with the bat as they lost four wickets in the last hour of day four. After that they had a similar outing in the first session of day five, losing five wickets to see themselves reeling at 112/8.

Ravindra Jadeja (61*), along with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, fought hard in the end and gave their best. But it wasn’t meant to be as they got all out for 170, losing the game by 22 runs.
