Cricket fans slammed Karun Nair after he came up with another flop batting show in second innings of the ongoing third test. The game between England Cricket Team and Indian Cricket Team is underway at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

England have set a target of 193 runs for India in the second innings. The visitors faced a blow at the start of the chase as opener Yashasvi Jaiswal lost his wicket to Jofra Archer for a duck. Nair had a perfect opportunity to grab the limelight with an impressive batting show in the second innings.

However, he got out cheaply for 14 runs off 33 deliveries, becoming a victim of Brydon Carse in the third session on day four. Notably, he scored 40 runs in the first innings. Nair has been part of all three tests in the series but failed to score a half-century across his six innings.

Many cricket fans criticised Nair on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after he produced another flop batting performance in the Lord’s test. Notably, Nair has made a comeback to the test team after eight years. He became a trending topic on X after losing his wicket.

Talking about the match, England opted to bat first and piled up 387/10 in the first innings with a century by Joe Root. India also managed to score 387 runs in the first innings, with a century by KL Rahul. In the second innings, India bowled out England for 192 runs with Washington Sundar’s four-wicket haul.

However, during the third session on day four, India lost four wickets of Jaiswal, Nair, Akash Deep, and Shubman Gill during the chase. At stumps on day four, they are 58/4 and need more 135 runs to win the match and go 2-1 up in the series.
