Who are the five members of senior men's Indian cricket team's selection committee?

Former Indian wicket-keeper Ajay Ratra is the latest member to join the senior men’s Indian cricket team’s selection committee.
On Tuesday (September 3), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the entry of former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ajay Ratra as the new member of the senior men’s Indian cricket team’s selection committee. Ratra replaced Salil Ankola and will take charge of his duties with immediate effect.
The selection committee has five members, including a chief selector, from five zones of India: Central, North, West, South and East. They select the senior Indian men’s team.
Apart from the teams for international matches, they select teams for India A and for President’s XI/BCCI XI to play visiting international teams. So, let’s see the current five-member senior men’s Indian cricket team’s selection committee.
Five members of the senior men’s Indian cricket team’s selection committee:
1. Ajit Agarkar

Former Indian pacer Ajit Agarkar is the chairman of the senior men’s Indian cricket team’s selection committee. He was appointed in September 2023, replacing Chetan Sharma. He represented India in 26 tests, 191 ODIs and four T20Is.
Agarkar was in charge of the selection committee that selected the teams for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
2. Shiv Sunder Das

Former opening batter Shiv Sunder Das is part of the current senior men’s Indian cricket team’s selection committee. He played 23 tests and four ODIs for India between 2000 and 2002. He played first-class cricket for Odisha. Das was part of the selection committee that selected the ICC T20 World Cup 2024-winning Indian squad.
3. Subroto Banerjee

Former Indian pacer Subroto Banerjee is also a member of the Indian cricket team’s selection committee. He was part of the Indian team that played the ODI World Cup 1992. Subroto played one test and six ODIs for India and played first-class cricket for Bengal.
4. Sridharan Sharath

Former Tamil Nadu batter Sridharan Sharath represents South Zone in BCCI’s selection committee for senior men. He hasn’t played international games, but he is the only player from Tamil Nadu to play over 100 Ranji games.
5. Ajay Ratra

Ajay Ratra is the newest member of the Indian cricket team’s selection committee. His appointment was officially announced by the BCCI on September 3, and he replaced Salil Ankola. He represented India in six tests and 12 ODIs and played 90 FC games for Haryana. He has served as Head Coach of Assam, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh in his career.
