IPL 2026: Full squad of LSG after mini-auction ft. Rishabh Pant, Wanindu Hasaranga

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bought six players in the IPL 2026 auction, which took place in Abu Dhabi.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction took place in Abu Dhabi on December 16. A total of 369 players were shortlisted for the auction, including 253 Indian players and 116 overseas players. Overall, 77 remaining slots were available to be filled by the franchises.

Rishabh Pant-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) entered the mini-auction with a purse of 22.95 crores after releasing seven players. LSG endured a disappointing IPL 2025 campaign despite making headlines for signing Pant for ₹27 crore.

In an effort to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season, the franchise made several key decisions, releasing certain players and remaining active during the trade window.

LSG acquired two players through trades, Arjun Tendulkar from Mumbai Indians (MI) in exchange for Shardul Thakur, and Mohammad Shami from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). With six slots to fill at the mini-auction, LSG made some notable signings, including Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Inglis, Anrich Nortje, and others.

Players bought by LSG in the auction

LSG signed six players at the mini-auction, with the biggest name being Josh Inglis. Despite Inglis informing IPL franchises in advance that he would not be available for the entire tournament due to international and personal commitments, including his wedding, LSG showed faith in him and secured his services for INR 8.6 crores.

He is expected to feature in only four matches during the season. LSG also added Wanindu Hasaranga to their squad to strengthen their spin-bowling options, especially on the spin-friendly tracks of the Ekana Stadium.

Despite already having a strong pace-bowling lineup, the franchise further bolstered it by signing Anrich Nortje. In addition, LSG invested in three uncapped players, Mukul Chaudhary, Akshat Raghuwanshi, and Naman Tiwari, who are expected to add depth and balance to the squad.

On that note, let’s take a look at the full LSG squad following the IPL 2026 mini-auction.
