Jasprit Bumrah is joint highest wicket-taker for India with 14 wickets in the series.

Indian Cricket Team skipper Shubman Gill has provided an update about Jasprit Bumrah’s availability for the last game of the series against the England Cricket Team. He said that they will decide on the match day as the wicket looks green.

India and England will be crossing swords with each other in the final game of the series. The match will be played at the Oval in London, beginning on 31st July. The series between the two teams stands at 2-1 with England in the lead.

There have been speculations over the availability of Bumrah for the last game. This is because the fast bowler was scheduled to play just three games in the series, which he has already done.

But with the series on the line, many have urged the Indian team management to play Bumrah in the last game. However, there’s no clarity if he will be there or not as he looked in some discomfort in the last game and was also down on pace on the last day of the Manchester test.

Amid all the speculations, skipper Shubman Gill was asked about Jasprit Bumrah’s availability for the last game. However, he didn’t rule out the possibility of premier pacer playing. Speaking to reporters, he said:

“We will take a decision tomorrow, wicket looks very green. So let’s see.”

Jasprit Bumrah, who had an off game in Manchester, has impressed many with his heroics in the series. He is the joint highest wicket-taker for India with 14 wickets, bagging two fifers at Headingley and the Lord’s.

If he doesn’t play, there are chances that Arshdeep Singh might make his debut for India in the tests. He was due to play the last game but was ruled out of the match due to a hand injury.
