Glenn Phillips pulled off a blinder at gully during the second test match between New Zealand and South Africa.

New Zealand’s star all-rounder, Glenn Phillips, has once again shown why he is rated as one of the best fielders in world cricket right now. During day 3 of the ongoing second test match against South Africa in Seddon Park, Hamilton, Phillips took a screamer at Gully to send back Keegan Petersen on Thursday, February 15.

The incident happened off the second ball of the 60th over of New Zealand’s quick pacer Matt Henry, where Petersen cut a back-of-a-length delivery to the right of Glenn Phillips, who timed his jump to perfection and took a one-handed blinder at Gully.

Keegan Petersen departed for 43 runs and the hosts side also ended a 98-run stand between the former batter and David Bedingham for the fifth wicket. The New Zealand all-rounder Phillips took a similar catch to get rid of South African batter Fortuin in the first innings of the second test match.

Bedingham smashed 110 runs off 141 balls with two maximums and 12 boundaries, whereas Proteas batters Keegan Petersen (43) and Neil Brand (34) helped visitors set a target of 267 for the hosts New Zealand in the second test match.
