Harbhajan Singh feels that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will help India win games in Australia.
Former Indian Cricket Team spinner Harbhajan Singh is excited for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s comeback in the upcoming ODI series against Australian Cricket Team. The cricketer-turned-commentator also feels that both of them will come up with brilliant performances during the series and help India win games.
Rohit and Kohli will return to the national team after a long time. They last played international cricket in March during ICC Champions Trophy 2025. In May, they announced their retirement from test cricket and are only active in ODI cricket for India now.
India are scheduled to clash with Australia in three ODI games, with the first match scheduled to be played on October 19 at Perth Cricket Stadium in Perth. Ahead of the campaign, Rohit has been replaced by Shubman Gill as the ODI captain.
There’s absolutely no concern about Virat Kohli’s fitness: Harbhajan Singh

During a conversation with JioHotstar, Harbhajan heaped praises on Kohli, saying that there are no concerns regarding his fitness. He is also looking forward to seeing him back in action during the Australia series.
“Please don’t ask any questions about Virat’s fitness. When it comes to fitness, he’s a guru. Everyone follows what he does. There’s absolutely no concern about Virat Kohli’s fitness; he’s fit, probably fitter than many of those currently playing alongside him. In today’s international cricket, he’s arguably the fittest player out there. Now, I’m just looking forward to seeing Virat back in action,” he said.
“Fans have missed watching him, and personally, I’d love to see him continue playing the One-Day International format for a while longer because he still has so much to offer. When he retired from Test cricket, I genuinely felt he still had four to five years left in him, not just to play, but to dominate, because that’s the kind of batter he is,” he added.
The 45-year-old also feels that both Kohli and Rohit will impress with their performance against Australia and help India to win matches.
“He’s now heading to Australia, his favourite place to bat, and I’m sure he’ll once again show his mettle there. We’ve seen him score tons of runs in those conditions before, and I believe he’ll do it again. The same goes for Rohit; I’m looking forward to both these legends scoring heavily for India and helping the team win matches,” said Harbhajan.
Harbhajan Singh hopes Virat Kohli will hit two centuries out of three games in Australia

Harbhajan, who announced his retirement from international cricket in 2021, hopes that Kohli would smack two tons out of three games in Australia, where he has been highly successful in the past.
“When you perform against the best, that’s when you earn respect, and he’s earned that, especially after scoring those hundreds in Australia and taking on the responsibility of leading the team. Those are the challenges he looks forward to,” he said.
“Australia is his favourite hunting ground, and now he’s making his comeback after the IPL. I’m really looking forward to seeing him bat in those three ODIs, and hopefully, out of those three, he gets at least two centuries for India,” Harbhajan further said.
Meanwhile, Rohit and Kohli last played competitive cricket during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in June. Last month, Rohit underwent fitness tests at Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. He was training in Mumbai for the last few days.
