Hardik Pandya turned 30 on 11th October and celebrated his birthday before IND vs AFG match.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya turned 30, as he is celebrating his birthday on 11th October. Hardik Pandya had a memorable celebration of his 30th birthday in Delhi. As team India were preparing to take on Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi. Hardik Pandya celebrated his birthday on the sidelines along with 2011 World Cup winner Gautam Gambhir and the official broadcaster of Star Sports team.

The official broadcaster of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Star Sports, celebrated Indian all-rounder's birthday with a cake-cutting ceremony before the toss. Hardik Pandya joined in between his practice sessions along with Gautam Gambhir, and renowned anchor Jatin Sapru was to celebrate his big day.

Hardik Pandya had not played any games on his birthday before the Afghanistan clash. This was his first ever international game on his birthday, October 11th. Celebrating the occasion, the all-rounder said, "For the first time in my life, I will be playing a match on my birthday. Let’s see, it will be enjoyable.” Wishes have also poured in to celebrate Hardik Pandya’s big day.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah tweeted, “Happy Birthday, hardikpandya7, Your dedication, hard work, and never-give-up attitude inspire millions of aspiring cricketers across the nation. Wishing you health, happiness, and a multitude of victories in the years ahead.” Hardik Pandya has become an integral part of the team since he led Gujarat Titans successfully in the IPL.

Against Afghanistan, Hardik Pandya had a decent outing with the ball as he took two important wickets in Afghanistan innings. Pandya picked up Azmatullah Omarzai (62) and broke his 121-runs partnership with captain Hamratullah Zazai (80). Pandya bowled seven overs and conceded 43 runs to pick up his two wickets. India needs 273 runs to remain unbeaten in the 2023 World Cup.
