As the pressure mounted on Indian bowlers, Hardik Pandya took the ball in an attempt to break the partnership.
Hardik Pandya twists his ankle
All eyes were on Hardik Pandya as he was coming on to bowl and give India a breakthrough. While bowling the third bowl of his first over, Litton Das played a straight drive off the delivery. While stopping the ball, Pandya twisted his left ankle which stopped the play. The pain on his face was evident, and he immediately signaled for assistance. Indian team physiotherapist sprinted onto the field to examine the extent of the injury.
After the physio tied a crape bandage on Hardik Pandya's left ankle, Pandya again went back to his bowling mark but couldn't bowl the next delivery as he was in pain. He went back to the change room without completing his over. Virat Kohli came in and finished Pandya's over.
Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das are displaying their impressive form, finding the gaps and punishing loose deliveries.
