Hardik Pandya suffered a quad injury in Asia Cup 2025.
India‘s experienced all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to join the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE) on October 14, for further assessment and rehab for his quad injury. Pandya had suffered a quad injury during the recent Asia Cup 2025 tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Hardik Pandya was part of the Indian team that won the Asia Cup in Dubai recently, but couldn’t play the final against Pakistan. The reason was that he had suffered a left quadricep injury while playing the Super Fours game against Sri Lanka in Dubai and took no further part in the game after leaving the field in the first over of the second innings.
The injury was serious enough that the BCCI medical team advised him to rest, and he missed the thrilling final of the tournament against Pakistan in Dubai, which India won by five wickets and lifted their ninth Asia Cup trophy.
Hardik Pandya to be assessed further and rehab plan to be finalized at CoE – Reports

According to the Times of India (TOI), Hardik Pandya will visit the BCCI CoE on Tuesday to have his injury evaluated. Only after a comprehensive evaluation of his quadricep injury will a plan for his return to competitive cricket be determined.
Pandya’s injury wouldn’t need surgery to recover, according to the TOI report. The Baroda all-rounder is therefore anticipated to be healthy enough to play cricket by the following month. India’s white-ball teams for the Australia tour were just announced by the BCCI; however, Pandya was left off the roster because of an injury setback. Instead, the BCCI selectors picked Nitish Kumar Reddy in the Indian squad for the white-ball series.
The availability of Hardik Pandya for India versus the South Africa ODI and T20I series is not yet confirmed. Pandya may be prepared for the South Africa T20I series, which begins on December 9, 2025, given that the report stated his one-month return period.
