Hardik Pandya taken for scans:

The Indian all-rounder immediately called for medical assessment and was carried out of the field after treatment. Pandya bowled just three deliveries and conceded two boundaries. After that, Indian captain Rohit Sharma had to introduce Virat Kohli to complete the remainder of the over. BCCI in an official update has informed that Hardik Pandya is now being taken for the scans. Hardik Pandya will not be taking the field against Bangladesh in Pune.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also informed that the medical team of the Indian camp is continuously working and assessing Pandya’s injury and the all-rounder has been taken for scans. The final update on Pandya’s injury and his participation will come after the scan reports come out. Indian team management will be hoping for a quick recovery as they do not want to lose their key player in mid mid-World Cup.

Earlier, commentator Nasser Hussain informed during the game that Hardik Pandya will not be taking the field as it is not just a simple niggle but a serious injury.
