Indian Cricket Team all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to return to cricketing action soon. As per the reports in Times of India, it is learned that the all-rounder will make his comeback in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26 for Baroda.

Pandya has been out of action since the final stages of Asia Cup 2025. During India’s last Super Four game against Sri Lanka, the all-rounder suffered a quadriceps injury and went off the field after bowling just one over. The injury was much serious than expected as he missed the final as well as the Australia tour, where India played three ODIs and five T20Is.

Since the last few weeks, Pandya has been rehabilitating at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE). The reports claimed that the all-rounder is close to reaching match fitness and will feature in the first match of the tournament itself for Baroda.

The reports claimed that even in the worst-case scenario, he will be fit for the second match of the tournament, which will begin on November 26. The premier all-rounder will fly directly to Hyderabad, where Baroda will play all their games in the tournament.

Pandya will soon be getting a Return to Play certificate from the CoE and will be heading straight to play. After the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he will be back in the Indian colours for the ODI series against South Africa, which will begin on October 30.

India will be playing three ODIs against South Africa and then the five T20Is. Pandya will be holding the key for India in both series. Also with ICC T20 World Cup 2026 around the corner, the T20Is will be important for him to get his rhythm back.
