Hasan Ali’s hat-trick helped Birmingham Bears defeat Derbyshire Falcons in the ongoing T20 Blast.
Hasan Ali, a fast bowler for the Pakistan Cricket Team, bowled an incredible spell during the Vitality T20 Blast game between the Derbyshire Falcons and the Birmingham Bears. The Birmingham Bears defeated the opposition by 58 runs on Sunday, June 8, thanks to the right-arm pacer’s six wickets, including a hat-trick.
After being invited to bat, the Birmingham Bears got off to a great start. The opening batsmen Alex Davies and Tom Latham combined for 79 runs. While Davies added 49 runs off 29 balls, Latham scored 58 runs from 42 deliveries. The opposition was unable to keep up with Birmingham’s total of 199 for six.

The Bears’ innings was built on the shoulders of Alex Davies and Tom Latham. The skipper fell short of his half-century while Latham took advantage of the reprieve and scored a fifty after being dropped on 40 at deep square leg. The ball gently brushed behind Dan Mousley to strike the stumps, ending his 13-run innings.
As the innings went on and wickets fell, Sam Hain (20) was caught deep. But the momentum was maintained by Moeen Ali (33*) and George Garton’s cameo, which enabled the Bears to post a solid total of 199, which included 21 runs from the last over.

In the fourth over, Hasan got rid of David Lloyd (17 off 9 balls), earning him his maiden wicket.
Late in the innings, the Pakistani pacer came out for a second spell to finish off the tail and claimed four wickets, including a hat-trick. His victims in the hat-trick were Ben Aitchison (bowled), Alex Thomson (caught at mid-on), and Ross Whiteley (caught at long-off). Hasan finished with six wickets for 23 runs in his 3.1 overs.
