11. Virat Kohli – 183 vs Pakistan, Mirpur, 2012

Virat Kohli wrote one of the most memorable chapters in the India-Pakistan rivalry in 2012 when he scored 183 runs off 148 balls against Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

Chasing a massive target of 330 runs, Kohli’s innings, which included 22 fours and a six, guided India to a memorable six-wicket win.

10. Sourav Ganguly – 183 vs Sri Lanka, Taunton, 1999

One of the few positives for India in their underwhelming 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup campaign came in their group-stage match against Asian rivals Sri Lanka.

Batting first, Sourav Ganguly led India’s innings with 183 runs off 158 balls, including 17 fours and seven sixes. He was well supported by Rahul Dravid, who scored 145 runs.

9. MS Dhoni – 183* vs Sri Lanka, Jaipur, 2005

Legendary Indian wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni smashed his highest ODI score against Sri Lanka in Jaipur in 2005.

Chasing a challenging target of 299 runs, Dhoni’s unbeaten 183 off 145 balls led India to a comfortable six-wicket win with 23 balls to spare. He was named Player of the Match.

8. Sachin Tendulkar – 186* vs New Zealand, Hyderabad, 1999

Sachin Tendulkar dismantled the Kiwi bowling attack in the second ODI of New Zealand’s tour of India in 1999 in Hyderabad.

Opening the innings, Sachin took on the aggressor role, finishing with an unbeaten 186 runs off 150 balls, with 20 fours and three sixes. He stitched a 331-run partnership for the second wicket with Rahul Dravid

India won the game by 174 runs.

7. Sachin Tendulkar – 200* vs South Africa, Gwalior, 2010

Sachin Tendulkar made history in Gwalior in 2010 when he became the first batsman to score a double century in ODI cricket.

Sachin’s unbeaten knock of 200 runs came off 147 balls, and it included 25 fours and three sixes. India won the match by 153 runs.

6. Shubman Gill – 208 vs New Zealand, Hyderabad, 2023

Youngster Shubman Gill is part of the elite list of Indian double centurions in ODI cricket. The Punjab batter announced himself by scoring 208 runs off 149 balls, including 19 fours and nine sixes, against New Zealand in Hyderabad in 2023.

India won the game by 12 runs and he was named Player of the Match for his efforts.

5. Rohit Sharma – 208* vs Sri Lanka, Mohali, 2017

Rohit Sharma is the only player to have scored three double centuries in ODIs. His third double hundred came against Sri Lanka in Mohali in 2017.

He was named Player of the Match for his unbeaten 208 runs, which came off 153 balls and included 13 fours and 12 sixes.

4. Rohit Sharma – 209 vs Australia, Bengaluru, 2013

One of Rohit’s most memorable knocks came against Australia in 2013 in Bengaluru. Batting first, Rohit’s 209 off 158 balls helped India reach 383 runs in the first innings.

India eventually won the thrilling contest by 57 runs. Rohit was named Player of the Match for his knock that consisted of 12 fours and 16 sixes.

3. Ishan Kishan – 210 vs Bangladesh, Chattogram, 2022

Ishan Kishan, who made his ODI debut in 2021, played a 210-run knock off 131 balls against Bangladesh in Chattogram in 2022.

Trailing 2-0 in the series, Kishan’s explosive knock helped India avoid an embarrassing whitewash by securing a 227-run win.

2. Virender Sehwag – 219 vs West Indies, Indore, 2011

Known for his dominance against the new ball, Virender Sehwag became the second Indian to score an ODI double century after Sachin Tendulkar. He achieved this feat against the West Indies in 2011 in Indore.

His 219-run knock came off 149 balls and included 25 fours and seven sixes.

1. Rohit Sharma – 264* vs Sri Lanka, Kolkata, 2014

Indian opener Rohit Sharma holds the record for the highest individual total in ODI cricket with his unbeaten knock of 264 runs against Sri Lanka in Kolkata in 2014.

His innings, which included 33 fours and nine sixes, guided India to a massive 153-run win.
