Top 5 highest scores by Steve Smith in ODI cricket

Steve Smith made his ODI debut in 2010.

Australian batsman Steve Smith is regarded as one of the greatest test batsmen of all time. However, his contributions in ODI cricket are often undervalued. The New South Wales batsman has played several iconic innings in the format, including his century against India in the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Smith made his ODI debut against the West Indies in 2010 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Starting his career as a bowling all-rounder, Smith transformed into a top-order batsman and has piled up over 5,500 ODI runs so far and averages over 40.

Smith’s hunger to score big hundreds and play long innings has been important for Australia in home and away conditions. On that note, let’s take a look at Steve Smith’s top five highest scores in ODI cricket.
