Smith followed up his first innings brilliance with an unbeaten 54-run knock in the second innings. Australia won the test by 277 runs and Smith was named Player of the Match.

4. 200* vs West Indies, Perth, 2022

Australia’s star No. 4 batter Steve Smith played an unbeaten knock of 200 runs against West Indies in the Perth test in 2022.

Batting first, Australia made 598/4d on the back of Smith’s sublime knock of 200 runs off 311 balls, including 16 boundaries. Australia won the one-sided test by 164 runs. Smith was named Player of the Match for his majestic double ton.

3. 211 vs England, Manchester, 2019

Another Steve Smith masterclass came during the 2019 Ashes series. Making his comeback after a one-year ban, Smith whacked 211 runs in the first innings of the Manchester test.

Smith’s marathon innings, which consisted of 24 boundaries and two sixes, propelled Australia to a massive first innings score of 497 runs in the first innings.

Steve Smith hammered his highest score in test cricket during the Perth test against England in 2017. Smith’s 239-run knock was his second double-hundred in test cricket.

Replying to England’s 403 in the first innings, Australia notched up 662/9d on the back of Smith’s stunning double ton, which included 30 boundaries and a six.

England were bundled out for 218 runs in their second innings, handing Australia a win by an innings and 41 runs. Smith was named Player of the Match.
