The major announcement for the schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been made, with the ICC confirming the fixtures and venues for the 15-match tournament. The UAE will co-host the tournament with Pakistan. All of India’s matches will be played in Dubai, which will also host India’s knockouts if they reach it.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will kick off on February 19, 2025. Pakistan are the defending champions. The initial stage of the competition will have two groups featuring four teams each. The top two sides from both groups will make it to the semi-finals.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be the maiden appearance of Afghanistan in this competition. They are not the underdogs anymore as they have proven in the last two ICC men’s events.

Group A – India, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Pakistan

Group B – England, Australia, South Africa and Afghanistan

Afghanistan are in the group of death, with Australia, England, and South Africa. Afghanistan will play their opening game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on February 21 against South Africa.

They will have a four-day rest before their second game – against England on February 26. Their final group game is on February 28 against Australia on February 28.

Afghanistan will play their opening game at the National Stadium in Karachi against South Africa. They will travel to Lahore to play their next two matches against England and Australia at the Gaddafi Stadium.
