ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Schedule, squads, groups, venues, dates, timings, prize money, live streaming details and all you need to know

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to start on February 19.

The ICC Champions Trophy is considered one of the most challenging ICC tournaments. The tournament is set to make its much-awaited return after an eight-year break, starting on February 19, 2025.

The competition was last played in 2017, where Pakistan defeated India in the final to clinch their maiden title. The competition this year faced challenges, and a hybrid model of hosting was decided after multiple meetings between the BCCI, PCB, and ICC. While Pakistan are officially the hosts of the tournament, all of India’s matches, including the semi-final and final (if they qualify), will be played in Dubai.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: All details you need to know

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Teams

A total of eight teams will participate in the tournament: India, Pakistan (hosts), Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan. The qualification of these teams was decided based on the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, where the top eight teams from the World Cup qualified for the tournament.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Groups

The eight teams are divided into two groups – A and B. India, Pakistan (hosts), Bangladesh, and New Zealand are placed in Group A, while Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan are part of Group B.

Each team will face the others once in the group stage, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the semi-finals.
