ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Most runs, most wickets after match 2, IND vs BAN

India defeated Bangladesh by six wickets in the second match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
On Thursday, February 20, India defeated Bangladesh by six wickets in Dubai to start their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign with a victory.
Batting first, Bangladesh got off to a poor start, slipping to 35/5 inside the powerplay. Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali then led the recovery, adding 154 runs for the sixth wicket. Hridoy top-scored for Bangladesh with 100 off 118 balls, helping them reach 228.
Mohammed Shami starred for India, taking 5/53 in his 10-over spell. He was well supported by Harshit Rana and Axar Patel, who picked up three and two wickets, respectively.
In the chase, India started well with a 69-run opening partnership but lost their way, slipping to 144/4 due to some tight bowling from Bangladesh spinners.
Shubman Gill guided India to a six-wicket win with his unbeaten 101 off 129 balls, which included nine fours and two sixes.

Thanks to their centuries in the opening game, Tom Latham and Will Young top the run-scoring charts of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with 118 and 107 runs, respectively.
Shubman Gill’s unbeaten century against Bangladesh has moved him to the third spot with 101 runs. Towhid Hridoy and Babar Azam complete the list with 100 and 64 runs, respectively.

Thanks to his fifer against Bangladesh, Indian pacer Mohammed Shami leads the wicket-taker chart with five scalps. Following him on the list is his teammate Harshit Rana with three wickets.
New Zealand speedster William O’Rourke holds the third spot with three wickets. Mitchell Santner and Matt Henry complete the list with three and two wickets, respectively.
