ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Most runs, most wickets after match 3, SA vs AFG

South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 107 runs in the third match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
On Friday, February 21, South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 107 runs in Karachi to start their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign with a victory.
Batting first, South Africa were led by Ryan Rickelton, who top-scored with 103 off 106 balls, hitting seven fours and a six. He was well supported by captain Temba Bavuma, who scored a half-century and added 129 runs for the second wicket.
Aiden Markram provided the finishing touches to the innings with an unbeaten 52 off 36 balls. Mohammad Nabi was Afghanistan’s most successful bowler, claiming two wickets.
In reply, Afghanistan were never in the chase, slipping to 50/4 after 15 overs. Rahmat Shah top-scored with 90 runs off 92 balls.
Kagiso Rabada starred for the Proteas with three scalps to guide them to a 107-run win.
ICC Champions Trophy: Most runs
Thanks to their centuries in the opening game, Tom Latham and Will Young top the run-scoring charts of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with 118 and 107 runs, respectively.
Ryan Rickelton’s century has powered him to the third spot with 103 runs. Shubman Gill and Towhid Hridoy round off the list with 101 and 100 runs, respectively.

Thanks to his fifer against Bangladesh, Indian pacer Mohammed Shami leads the wicket-taker chart with five scalps. Following him on the list is his teammate Harshit Rana with three wickets.
New Zealand speedster William O’Rourke holds the third spot with three wickets. Mitchell Santner and Kagiso Rabada complete the list with three wickets each.
