ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Points table, most runs and most wickets after match 11, SA vs ENG

South Africa defeated England by seven wickets in Match 11 of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
On Saturday, March 1, South Africa defeated England by seven wickets in the last group stage match of Group B in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Karachi.
Winning the toss and batting first, England got off to a poor start, slipping to 37/3 inside the first seven overs. The Three Lions kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for 179 runs. Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder starred for the Proteas, picking up three wickets each.
In reply, South Africa lost openers Tristan Stubbs and Ryan Rickelton early, slipping to 47/2. Rassie van der Dussen (72*) and Heinrich Klaasen (64) then led the fightback with a 127-run partnership for the third wicket to secure a seven-wicket win.
South Africa, however, will keep a close eye on the fitness of Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram, and Tony de Zorzi before the semi-finals.

Thanks to a comfortable win, South Africa finished toppers of the Group B standings with five points from three games. Australia secured second place with four points from three games. Afghanistan finished third with three points, while England had a disastrous tournament and will return home without a win.
In Group A, India and New Zealand have already made it to the semi-finals and will face each other in the final league match on March 2 to determine the group toppers. Bangladesh and Pakistan finished third and fourth respectively with one point each.
ICC Champions Trophy: Most runs
England batsmen Ben Duckett and Joe Root finished the group stage as top two run-scorers with 227 and 225 runs respectively.
Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran finished the tournament with a remarkable tally of 216 runs. New Zealand’s Tom Latham and India’s Shubman Gill complete the list of top five with 173 and 147 runs, respectively.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Most wickets
Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai leads the wicket-takers’ chart with seven wickets. Australian fast bowler Ben Dwarshuis’ is slotted next with six wickets.
England’s Jofra Archer finished the tournament with six wickets and is placed third. South Africa’s Wiaan Mulder and New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell are slotted fourth and fifth with five wickets each and will have a chance to climb the list in the knockouts.
