ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Points table, most runs and most wickets after match 6, NZ vs BAN

New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by five wickets in the sixth match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
On Monday, February 24, New Zealand defeated Bangladesh by five wickets in Rawalpindi, securing their place in the semi-finals of the tournament.
After being asked to bat first, Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals and managed a below-par total of 236/9. Experienced players Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim threw away their wickets with reckless shots early in the innings.
Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto top-scored for the Tigers with 77 off 110 balls, which included nine fours. Jaker Ali and Rishad Hossain showed late resistance, contributing 45 and 26 runs respectively. Michael Bracewell emerged as the most successful bowler for New Zealand, picking up 4/26 in his 10 overs.
In reply, New Zealand had a shaky start and lost Will Young and Kane Williamson cheaply to slip to 15/2 after four overs. Devon Conway (30) and Rachin Ravindra (112) then added 57 runs for the third wicket to bring back control for New Zealand.
Captain Tom Latham (55) then joined Rachin to stitch a 129-run partnership for the fourth wicket to guide New Zealand to a comfortable five-wicket victory and sealing their berth in the semi-final.

New Zealand’s victory confirms their and India’s qualification for the semi-finals from Group A. New Zealand lead the points table with four points from two matches and NRR of +0.863, while India are placed second with four points and NRR of +0.647.
Pakistan and Bangladesh are placed third and fourth in the group respectively and are yet to open their account in the tournament. The two teams will face off on February 27 in Rawalpindi.
In Group B, all four teams have played a game each. South Africa defeated Afghanistan by a huge margin of 107 runs and Australia beat England by five wickets, chasing down the target of 352 runs.
ICC Champions Trophy: Most runs
Thanks to his 55-run knock, Tom Latham has surpassed Ben Duckett to lead the run-scorers’ chart with 173 runs in the tournament. Duckett and Shubman Gill are placed second and third with 165 and 147 runs in the competition respectively.
Kohli’s match-winning century against Pakistan places fourth with 122 runs in the tournament. Josh Inglis complete the list of top five with 120 runs.

Michael Bracewell’s four-wicket haul against Bangladesh has taken him to the top of the wicket-takers leaderboard with five wickets. William O’Rourke and Mohammed Shami are placed second and third with five wickets each.
Harshit Rana is at the fourth spot with four wickets, while Kagiso Rabada occupies the fifth place with three wickets.
