ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: Points Table, Most Runs, Most Wickets, after Match 12 IND vs PAK
India thrashed Pakistan by 7 wickets to register their 3rd consecutive win in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
In a highly anticipated encounter at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India secured a comfortable victory against their arch-rivals, Pakistan, in the 12th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India winning the toss elected to field first.
Pakistan's innings saw some strong individual performances, with Babar Azam leading the way with a gritty 50 and Mohammad Rizwan contributing with 49 runs. However, they couldn't quite capitalize on their starts, and their middle-order struggled. The bowlers from Indian side put up an impressive display, with Mohammed Siraj Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya taking two wickets each. Pakistan managed to post a total of 191 runs, with their innings ending in the 42.5th over.
Chasing the target, India got off to a solid start with Rohit Sharma's explosive 86 and Shubman Gill's 16. Virat Kohli added 16, Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 53 and KL Rahul also played a small cameo of 19 runs to guide India to a comfortable victory. India reached the target in just 30.3 overs with a score of 192/3, securing a convincing win in the World Cup clash. India have now registered their third victory of the tournament.
