Australia defeated Pakistan by 62 runs in match No. 18 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

In a thrilling clash between Australia and Pakistan at Bangalore during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Australia emerged victorious against Pakistan, registering their second win of the tournament. Australian openers, David Warner and Mitchell Marsh, set a record winning partnership with 259-runs, becoming the second-highest opening stand in World Cup history.

Pakistan won the toss and choose to field first in batting friendly wicket, Australia posted an imposing total of 367/9 in their allotted 50 overs. David Warner led the charge with a thrilling knock of 163 off 124 deliveries, supported by Mitchell Marsh's brilliant 121 off 108 balls. Pakistani bowlers found it challenging to contain the aggressive Australian batting, with Shaheen Shah Afridi picking five wickets and Haris Rauf picking three wickets.

In response, Pakistan fell short of the target, and were bundled out at 305 in overs 45.3. Abdullah Shafique scored 64, and Imam-ul-Haq contributed 70 runs. However, Adam Zampa picked four crucial wickets, which played a significant role in Australia's win.
