South Africa thrashed Bangladesh by 149 runs in match No. 23 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

South Africa emerged victorious against Bangladesh in a high-scoring match in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 played in Mumbai. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, South Africa showcased their dominance, posting a total of 382/5 in 50 overs, marking their third 350-plus score of the tournament.

Quinton de Kock was the star of the show, with an astonishing 174 runs off 140 balls, hitting 15 boundaries and seven sixes. Aiden Markram's knock of 60 and Heinrich Klaasen's 90 added fire-power to the innings.

Bangladesh's chase was faltering from the start, with early wickets falling consistently. Mahmudullah top-scored for Bangladesh with 111. Mahmudullah's fire-power in the end didn't put Bangladesh on the winning side. Marco Jansen picked up two wickets. Gerald Coetzee ended with three wickets. In the end, Bangladesh were bundled out for 233 in 46.4 overs.
