Netherlands defeated Bangladesh by 87 runs in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

In the 28th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Netherlands faced Bangladesh. Netherlands won the toss and opted to bat first, setting a target for Bangladesh.

Netherlands' innings got off to a shaky start, with Vikramjit Singh and Max O'Dowd departing early. However, Wesley Barresi steadied the innings with a composed 41 runs, and Scott Edwards played a crucial captain's knock, scoring 68. Sybrand Engelbrecht and Logan van Beek contributed valuable runs, pushing the total to 229 in their 50 overs.

In response, Bangladesh struggled to build partnerships and lost wickets at regular intervals. Mehidy Hasan Miraz top-scored with 35, but it wasn't enough as they were bundled out for 142 runs in 42.2 overs. Paul Van Meekeren took four crucial wickets, putting Bangladesh in back-foot and dominated the game.
