India decimated Sri Lanka by 302 runs in match No. 33 of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
In a thrilling encounter in Mumbai, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field against India in the 33rd match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India's batting line-up, led by Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer set a formidable target of 358 runs for Sri Lanka.
Shubman Gill played a magnificent innings of 92 runs off 92 balls, while Virat Kohli contributed 88 runs off 94 balls. Shreyas Iyer's aggressive knock of 82 runs off 56 balls and Ravindra Jadeja's late flourish with 35 runs off 24 balls powered India to a commanding total of 357/8 in their allotted 50 overs.
Sri Lanka's batting, on the other hand, faced a daunting challenge and crumbled under pressure. They were bowled out for just 55 runs in 19.4 overs. Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami were the architects of Sri Lanka's downfall. Shami took his second fifer of the tournament. India secured a resounding victory, defeating Sri Lanka by a massive margin of 302 runs.

While Indian skipper Rohit Sharma didn't have a good with the bat as he he went back to the pavilion after scoring only 4 runs.
Quinton De Kock of South African is first with 545 runs. Virat Kohli is 2nd with 442 runs. New Zealander Rachin Ravindra is third on the list with 415 runs. Australian opener David Warner is 4th in the table with 413 runs. Indian captain Rohit Sharma is 5th with 402 runs.

He picked up a fifer against the hosts India and ended with the figures of 5/80. He is the leading wicket taker in the tournament. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was also not far behind with his line and lengths and provided India wicket on the very first delivery. He ended with the figures of 1/8.
Dilshan Madhushanka is on top with 18 wickets. Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa is second on the wicket-takers list with 16 wickets. Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi is 3rd in the tally with 16 wickets.
