Virat Kohli has taken three catches for India in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 so far.

India star Virat Kohli has been rated as the fielder with the biggest impact on the field over the first 13 days of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 tournament. The tournament began on October 5 and since then India have played three matches, winning all three of them.

They sit at the top of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 points table. India started by defeating Australia in a tough match in Chennai. But after that, they dominated Afghanistan in Delhi and decimated Pakistani in front of more than 1,20,000 screaming Indian fans in Ahmedabad.

India will now face Bangladesh in their next match on October 19 at the MCA stadium in Pune.

Meanwhile, ICC revealed that Virat Kohli is leading the way as the player with the biggest impact in the field. He has a total of three catches through three matches for India - two less than tournament leaders for non-wicket-keepers Matt Henry of New Zealand and Australia veteran David Warner - but his impact out on the field reaches much further than that.

Virat Kohli has fielding impact rating points of 22.30

Veteran India cricketer Virat Kohli is always been rated high as a fielder anywhere in the field. In this tournament, Kohli is high on the list of runs saved and pressure ratings through three matches for all teams at the event and his total of 22.30 points sees him sit on top overall for fielding impact at the World Cup.

Kohli's closest challengers are a pair of fellow veterans, with former England captain Joe Root (four catches) and Warner (five catches) his closest rivals.

Fielding Impact - After Three Group Games For Each Country:

Virat Kohli (IND)- 22.30 rating points

Joe Root (ENG)- 21.73 rating points

David Warner (AUS)- 21.32 rating points

Devon Conway (NZ)- 15.54 rating points

Shadab Khan (PAK)- 15.13 rating points

Glenn Maxwell (AUS)- 15 rating points

Rahmat Shah (AFG)- 13.77 rating points

Mitchell Santner (NZ)- 13.28 rating points

Fakhar Zaman (PAK)- 13.01 rating points

Ishan Kishan (IND)- 13 rating points

It means India are well out in front of the team ratings, with their 14 catches for the tournament thus far assisted by a total of 10 runs saved, 16 pressure acts and a quartet of good throws. They have dropped just 2 catches in the field during the opening three matches.
