Just IN: India vs Pakistan on 15 February as ICC announces ICC T20 World Cup 2026 schedule

ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be played from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday (25th November) announced the schedule of ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The unveiling event took place in Mumbai with former India captain Rohit Sharma gracing the occasion.
ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in India and Sri Lanka across eight venues. The mega event will begin on February 7 with three clashes on same day. Pakistan will take on Netherlands in the first match in Colombo, while the West Indies and Bangladesh will be in action in the second game. Hosts India will take on the United States of America (USA) in the last game on day one. The final is scheduled to be played on March 8 and the tournament will follow the same pattern as it was in the last edition.
The 20 teams will be divided into five groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Eight phase, where they will be further divided into two groups of four each. The two top teams in these two groups will qualify for the semi-finals, which will be followed by the final.
Across the eight venues, five will be there in India, which include Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai. Three stadiums in Sri Lanka – R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sinhalese Cricket Club, Colombo, and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy – will host the matches.
