After defeating Bangladesh in a virtual quarter-final game at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, Pakistan have secured their place for the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 semi-finals. It was a low-scoring thriller where Pakistan came out as the winners by just 5 runs. Pakistan bowlers bundled out Bangladesh for 150 runs while defending a total of 155 in a crucial Super Six game of Group 1.

India and Pakistan have qualified for the semi-finals after finishing at the top two positions in Group 1. India ended up at the top position after their unbeaten run while Pakistan finished second in the Group 1 table. Australia and South Africa have qualified for the semi-finals from Group 2. Australia were the table toppers in Group 2 and hosts South Africa finished second in the table.

The first semi-final of the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 will be played on 6th February at Willowmoore Park in Benoni. Hosts South Africa will be taking on defending champions India on Tuesday. India will be targeting their sixth U19 World Cup title, while South Africa will be looking for their second title. They both will have to take on the winner of the second semi-final in their quest for the title.

The second semi-final will be played at the same ground between Australia and Pakistan on 8th February. Australia are the second most successful side in the U19 World Cup history. They have won three World Cup titles so far and will be aiming at their fourth next week. Pakistan won two ICC U19 World Cups in 2004 and 2006. These two sides will also be looking to add one more prestigious title.
