ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025: Points table, most runs, most wickets after match 6, IND vs PAK

India defeated Pakistan by 88 runs in the sixth match of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
India continued their winning run in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, beating Pakistan by 88 runs in their second match of the tournament at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. With the win, they acquired the top spot in the points table.
Put into bat, India had a decent start with the bat as openers in Smriti Mandhana (31) and Pratika Rawal (23) batted well in tough conditions. They etched an opening partnership of 48 before Pakistan made a comeback with wickets at regular intervals.
Harleen Deol (46), at three, played a valuable innings and got support from Harmanpreet Kaur (19) and Jemimah Rodrigues (32). However, all three couldn’t carry on the start they had as India were left at 159 for five. Sneh Rana (20) and Deepti Sharma (25) played vital hands, adding 42 runs for the sixth wicket.
But the real blitz came from Richa Ghosh (35*) as she played the finishing role to perfection, taking India to 247. For Pakistan, Diana Baig took four wickets.
Chasing the target, Pakistan had a worst possible start as they lost Muneeba Ali for two, courtesy of a controversial run out in the second innings. After that pacers in Renuka Thakur and Kranti Gaud were all over the opposition, leaving them at 26 for three.
With the team under pressure, Sidra Amin (81) and Natlalia Parvez (33) joined hands and bailed their team out of trouble with their 69-run partnership. But Indian struck back with two quick wickets as Pakistan were left reeling at 102/5.
Sidra fought hard and slammed a brilliant 81 but she didn’t get support from others. In the end, India bundled Pakistan for 159 to win the game by 88 runs. Kranti was the pick of the bowlers with her figures of three for 20.

After match 6 of the tournament, IND vs PAK, India bagged the top spot in the points table with two wins in two games. Australia are at second place with three points, while England and Bangladesh are at third and fourth spots respectively. Sri Lanka with one point are fifth, while the rest of the teams are yet to open their account.

Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner is the highest run-getter of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 with 115 runs under her name. New Zealand’s Sophie Devine follows her next with 112 runs. Harleen Deol, with 94 runs, and Sidra Amin with 81 runs occupy third and fourth spots. Deepti Sharma also makes cut into the list of top five highest run-scorers in the ongoing tournament.
