Eight teams will battle for the title in ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is around the corner, and the preparations for the tournament are in full flow. The tournament will commence on September 30 and witness the final on November 2. India and Sri Lanka are the hosts of the tournament.

ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will witness a battle among eight teams, which are India Women, Sri Lanka Women, Pakistan Women, Bangladesh Women, Australia Women, New Zealand Women, England Women, and South Africa Women.

Co-hosts India Women and Sri Lanka will play the tournament opener on September 30 as four venues in India, in Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Navi Mumbai, will host the games, while in Sri Lanka, Colombo is the venue for the tournament.

ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will follow a round-robin format, where each team will face other opponents once during the league stage, playing a total of seven games. The top four teams in the points table will qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will then lock horns in the final. A total of 31 games will be played during the tournament.

Australia Women will enter as defending champions of the tournament, who won the previous edition in 2022 by defeating England Women in the final. Notably, ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 is the 13th edition of the tournament.

Australia Women have won the most number of titles (7) in the tournament’s history, followed by England Women with four titles. New Zealand Women have won one trophy.
