ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table after fourth test between England vs Australia

Fourth test between England and Australia of the Ashes 2023 in ICC WTC 2023-25 cycle ended in a draw.
The fourth Test between England and Australia of the ongoing Ashes 2023 series which was played at the Old Trafford ended in a tame draw after the fifth day was washed out due to consistent rain, much to the chagrin of the England team and their fans.
The result meant that Australia have retained the Ashes, having come into this game with a 2-1 lead. This is the third straight time that Australia will be retaining the Ashes having never lost a series since 2015.
Australia have dominated the proceedings since their 2017/18 Ashes victory and only drew the series once in 2019 in England.
Rain was expected to wreak havoc on days four and five of this Test match and England captain Ben Stokes wisely decided to field first after winning the toss. Thanks to 51 from Marnus Labuschagne and Mitchell Marsh and contributions from Steve Smith and Travis Head, Australia posted 317 runs in the first innings,
For England, Chris Woakes took 5/62 and Stuart Broad took two wickets.
In reply, England went after the leather from the start, and ‘Bazball’ came into play as opener Zak Crawley hammered 189 in 182 balls with 21 fours and 3 sixes. Moeen Ali (54), Joe Root (84), Ben Stokes (51), and Harry Brook (61) all contributed to a massive England total.
However, the innings that gave England control came from Jonny Bairstow, who hammered 99* in 81 balls and took England to 592 runs. Josh Hazlewood took 5/126, while Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green picked two wickets apiece.
Rain plays spoilsport as a drawn Test gives Australia the Ashes urn; while India moves to the no.1 spot in WTC 2023-25 points table
Only 71 overs of play was possible in Australia’s second innings as they made 214/5 with Marnus Labuschagne scoring 111 and Mitchell Marsh making 31* as rains wiped out morning and evening sessions of day four and the whole fifth day as the match ended in a draw.
This gave Australia the Ashes urn which they retained and the two teams will now clash in the fifth and final Test at the Oval from July 27 onwards.
This result meant that India moved to the no.1 spot in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table with Pakistan at the second spot thanks to their respective wins in the first Test of their series against West Indies and Sri Lanka, with both teams having 12 points each.
Australia have 54.17 percentage points, with 26 points from 4 matches, while England are no.4 with 29.17 percentage points with 14 points to their name from 4 Tests.
