Pakistan thrashed Sri Lanka by an innings and 222 runs in the second test at Colombo.

This victory propelled Pakistan to the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) Standings with a perfect record of 100% points. It's worth noting that Pakistan had finished 7th in the WTC Standings during the previous cycle, but they have now taken the lead in the current standings.

Pakistan have now taken a clear lead at the top of the rankings. They have achieved a perfect 100% percentage points in the World Test Championship. Behind them, India hold the second spot with 66.67% percentage points. Following closely, Australia occupy the third position, followed by England in fourth place, and West Indies in fifth place.

India's perfect record in new WTC cycle ends

During the two-match Test series, India, who hold the second rank, emerged victorious in the first game, while the second game concluded in a draw. In December-January, India are scheduled to face South Africa in their upcoming series on foreign soil.

As a result, the reigning World Test Champions, Australia, maintain their lead in the five-match series with a score of 2-1. Due to this result, Australia currently hold the 3rd position in the World Test Championship (WTC 2023-25) table, while England sit at 4th place.
