ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 Points Table after 2nd test, India vs England 2024

India registered their third win in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.
After a disappointing end to the first test in Hyderabad, India bounced back nicely in the five-match test series against England. India won the second test at Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam by 106 runs to level the series 1-1. Three more test matches are left to play in the series with the next test scheduled to be played at SCA Stadium in Rajkot.
England batters did challenge India’s lethal bowling lineup, but two quick wickets at the stroke of lunch on day four put India on top. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Zak Crawley (73) and Jasprit Bumrah trapped Jonny Bairstow (26) plumb in front. These two wickets stamped the game in India’s favour. Jasprit Bumrah picked up 9 wickets in the game and helped India bounce back in a long series.
ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 Points Table
India registered their third win of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle 2023-25. Now, India have won 38 overall points out of 72 contested. Following win over England, India have jumped up to second spot in the points table with PCT of 52.77. India will be looking to secure the top position by the end of five-match test series against England. Three more game are left to be played in the series with the hosts, India being hot favourites to win.

England are placed eighth in the points table even after winning three test matches out of seven they have played in the ongoing WTC cycle. England suffered severe overrate penalties during the Ashes 2023. England have 25 PCT points in seven games. England have earned 21 overall points from 84 contested.
Australia are at the top of the ICC WTC 2023-24 points table with a PCT of 55 after 10 matches they have played so far in the ongoing cycle. South Africa, New Zealand, and Bangladesh are third, fourth, and fifth respectively with PCT of 50 each. New Zealand and South Africa are currently engaged in a two-match test series against each other. Pakistan are placed sixth with PCT of 36.66, while West Indies are placed seventh with PCT of 33.33. Sri Lanka are languishing at the bottom of the table with 0 points.
