ICC World Test Championship 2025-27: Updated points table after 3rd test, WI vs AUS 2025

Australia are at top of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 points table.

After failing to win the last edition of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC), the Australian Cricket Team made a dominating start to the new cycle. They completed a magnificent 3-0 whitewash in the three-match series against the West Indies Cricket Team. 

Australia, who delivered two sensational performances in the first two games of the series, came up with an even better effort in the last match, the pink-ball test. Opting to bat first, they piled up a moderate total of 225 with Steve Smith being the top run-getter with his 48-run knock. 

Then with the ball, they were right on the money as they ended the West Indies’ innings for just 121 with Scott Boland being the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 3/34 in the. For the hosts, John Campbell was the top run-getter with his score of 36 runs. 

The second innings didn’t go in Australia’s way with the bat as they got all out for just 121 with Alzarri Joseph and Shamar Joseph combining to pick nine wickets. But who knew that the Pat Cummins-led side would come up with an even greater effort with the ball? 

In what was his 100th test, Mitchell Starc oozed his class and picked a fifer in just 15 balls. While Scott Boland bagged a hat-trick and Australia ended West Indies’ innings on just 27 runs, which is the second lowest total in test cricket.

Australia have retained the top spot in the ICC WTC 2025-27 points table following their win in the third test against the West Indies with PCT of 100%. England and Sri Lanka occupy the next two slots with PCT of 66.67%. India are positioned fourth with PCT of 33.33. Bangladesh occupy fifth spot with PCT of 16.67 and West Indies occupy sixth spot with PCT of 0. New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa are yet to start their campaign in the ongoing cycle.
