ICC announce eight member commentary panel for WTC Final

Ravi Shastri was part of the Indian team as head coach in the previous edition of the WTC Final.

The preparation for World Test Championship (WTC) Final at The Oval has begun. India is set to take on Australia in a big WTC Final, scheduled to begin on 7th June. Both the teams have assembled to regroup and strategies before the big game Team India has only one week time as most of their squad members were occupied with the Indian Premier League. IPL ends on 29th May with Chennai Super Kings crowned title winner for the 5th time. ICC has announced the commentator's team for the big game between India and Australia. The list has got big names as well as players who were recently part of the big action in T20 cricket. 

ICC has announced 8 members commentary team to provide every action from the ground to the viewers. Dinesh Karthik is back with the mic in hand, as he was doing before his comeback in the Indian T20 squad in 2021. The list also consists of Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri and Legendary opening batter Sunil Gavaskar. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, partners in opening Justin Langer and Mathew Hayden will also be giving their thoughts on the game. Former English captain Nasser Hussain and Former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara will also take part in the ICC Commentary panel as neutrals. 

Australia will be playing their first-ever World Test Championship final, while India will be playing their 2nd consecutive final. India tasted defeat against New Zealand in 2021 in WTC inaugural season. Member of the commentary panel, Ravi Shastri was associated with Indian Cricket Team’s head coach in the previous edition. While Justin Langer was the head coach of Australia but they failed to qualify for the big final. The panel is full of legendary names and will be a treat for viewers during the entire WTC Final.
