ILT20 2026 schedule announced, Tournament to begin on December 2

The ILT20 2026 final will be played on January 4, 2026.

The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the full schedule for the International League T20 (ILT20 ) 2026 has been announced. The United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based franchise T20 tournament will witness its fourth season this year.

Dubai Capitals, Desert Vipers, Sharjah Warriorz, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Gulf Giants, and MI Emirates are six teams that will battle for the title in the tournament. Dubai Capitals are the defending champions of the tournament and will play the tournament opener of ILT20 2026 on December 2. against Desert Vipers. The final will be played on January 4, 2026.

Dubai International Stadium, Zayed Cricket Stadium, and Sharjah Cricket Stadium are three venues for the tournament. There are four double-header matchdays in ILT20 2026 on December 7, December 14, December 20 and December 21.

Notably, the tournament usually takes place in January-February every year. However, the tournament will be played early this year to avoid a clash with ICC T20 World Cup 2026, set to be played in February-March next year in India and Sri Lanka.

The last three seasons witnessed a draft system for recruiting players. However, the organisers have introduced an auction system this year. The auction for ILT20 2026 is scheduled to take place in Dubai on September 30.
