The CSK vs PBKS match got underway on April 3 at Chidambaram Stadium.
In what will be their first home game of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will clash with Punjab Kings (PBKS) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. They will aim for a comeback after suffering a huge defeat in their opening game against Rajasthan Royals (RR).
The Ruturaj Gaikwad & Co. suffered a big batting collapse in the encounter. They lost key batters for single digits and were bowled out for 127 runs in the first innings. Later, RR won the match by eight wickets in just 12.1 overs.
Speaking about the Punjab Kings (PBKS, they won their opening game against Gujarat Titans (GT). With an unbeaten half-century by Cooper Connolly, PBKS chased down the 163-run target by three wickets.
While PBKS have no injury concerns in their squad, they will miss the services of pacer Lockie Ferguson at the start. He is out due to personal reasons and will join the squad later. CSK are short of two key batters- MS Dhoni and Dewald Brevis. Both of them are recovering from injuries.
