India's tour of Australia 2025
IND vs AUS: Watch - Suryakumar Yadav smashes 4 consecutive sixes in an over off Cameron Green

Suryakumar Yadav scored 72 runs in 37 balls against Australia in the 2nd ODI.
Team India had a wonderful time at Holkar Stadium in Indore. It was like a party for the batters on a flat wicket and small ground. From Shreyas Iyer to Suryakumar Yadav, everyone had a great day with the bat. Suryakumar Yadav played a blistering knock as a finisher to take Indian team almost to the 400-runs mark. Surya smashed 72 runs in 37 balls with six fours and six sixes in his innings. He also smashed four consecutive sixes for Cameron Green in one over.
Suryakumar Yadav was almost close to writing his name in the record books when he started his onslaught against Australian all-rounder Cameron Green. In the 44th over of Indian innings, he smashed four consecutive sixes in Green’s first four deliveries. He missed out on the record as he played a cut shot to just a single in the 5th delivery of that over. Surya fetched 25 runs against Green in that particular over.
Surya vs Green in 44th Over, that's how it went
Suryakumar played the first two shots towards the fine leg and long leg, using his flick shot to perfection. Then, in the third delivery, he used his wrist to play an inside-out shot over the cover region for a long six. Everyone was amazed by the power his wrists generated while playing that shot. Once again, he used his wrists to perfection when he put the fourth delivery for six over deep mid-wicket. Then in the 5th delivery, he played a cut shot that was fielded at the backward point.
Watch the video here:
Cameron Green conceded 103 runs in his 10 overs, but he also picked up two wickets in the innings. Green got centurion Shubman Gill caught, and captain KL Rahul castled in his bowling. Suryakumar Yadav added 53 runs in 5 overs, along with captain KL Rahul (52) who also went on to score a half-century in the innings. Surya completed his fourth ODI fifty in just 24 balls. He got 60 runs through boundaries in his 72-runs knock.
Team India have given Australia the almost impossible task of chasing 400 runs under lights. Despite the flat wicket and small ground, Australians will not find it easy to chase such a big total put on board by team India. Shreyas Iyer smashed his 3rd ODI century to shut all the debate hanging around his World Cup participation. Shreyas Iyer (105) and Shubman Gill (104) added 200 runs to get the momentum in India’s favour.
