IND vs ENG: Michael Vaughan snubs Ben Stokes as he names the best test all-rounder

Michael Vaughan named the current best all-rounder in tests during the first IND vs ENG test.
The former England skipper Michael Vaughan made a huge statement amidst the chaotic two days for the England side in Hyderabad. England are currently struggling to stop the run flow of Indian batters at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad in the ongoing first test. Team India have already taken a lead of more than 100 runs. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s useful fifty-plus knock helped the Indian side put England on the back foot.
Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has impressed former English skipper Michael Vaughan with his flawless batting performance in the first innings of the ongoing first test. Jadeja also contributed immensely with the ball and picked up three wickets in the first innings. Michael Vaughan looked massively impressed with Jadeja’s performance and termed Jadeja the best all-rounder in test cricket currently. He snubbed England captain Ben Stokes’ name while naming Jadeja the best at the moment.
Jadeja impressed Michael Vaughan
Former England skipper Michael Vaughan put out a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after Ravindra Jadeja completed his 20th test half-century. Vaughan tweeted, “He has to be the best allrounder in the world at the moment, Ravindra Jadeja.” He also mentioned Ravindra Jadeja in his post on platform X. Ravindra Jadeja had an impactful last few years with Indian cricket and became one of the crucial member of the XI across formats.
Ravindra Jadeja is also closing in special milestone of 3000 test runs and 300 test wickets. He will be the third Indian all-rounder after Kapil Dev and Ravi Ashwin to complete this special double in tests. Jadeja needs 22 more wickets to complete 300 test wickets, While he is just 196 runs away from 3000 test runs in his career. Ravindra Jadeja has batted with a positive intent so far in the first innings of the Hyderabad test.
Current England skipper Ben Stokes is also considered one of the finest all-rounders in test cricket. But since he has left bowling due to knee problem, Stokes is mostly playing as a pure batter. Ben Stokes has not bowled a single over so far against India, while he has given Joe Root 20 overs against the Indian middle-order. Stokes scored 70 runs in 88 balls and took England’s score to 246 in the first innings.
