India will take on Australia in the second T20I on Sunday at the Thiruvananthapuram.

Team India registered a thrilling win in the first T20I against Australia in Vishakhapatnam without any senior players. Suryakumar Yadav made a brilliant captaincy debut and won the man of the match award. Now it is time to gear up for the second game. India will take on Australia in the second T20I match on Sunday.

This game will be played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. India have a great chance to win it and take a 2-0 lead in the series, but Australia are expected to bounce back and bring some key players back. Here we will talk about the predicted playing XI for India for the second game.

IND vs AUS: India’s Predicted playing XI vs Australia

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad :

Vice-captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was unlucky in the first game and got out for a duck. He couldn’t face a ball and was run out after a miscommunication with Yashasvi Jaiswal. But Gaikwad will look to grab the opportunity on Sunday and make an impact at the top of the order to give India a good start with the bat.

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal :

Yashasvi Jaiswal looked good for his short stay of 8 balls in the first game, but in those 8 balls, he scored 21 runs with two fours and two sixes and got out playing a big shot. He will be keen to make it big in the second T20I, and he has shown some glimpses already. If he gets set, he can take on Australian bowling attack.

3. Ishan Kishan (wk) :

Ishan Kishan was pretty impressive in the first game and scored important runs in the chase. He made 58 off 39 balls, with two fours and five sixes, and attacked the spinners. His partnership with SKY was a match-changing moment. The left-hander will be keen to deliver another good performance, which can help him stay in contention for the T20 World Cup squad.

4. Suryakumar Yadav (C) :

If Australia need to win the game, they need to stop skipper Suryakumar Yadav somehow, because if he stays on the crease for a while, he will turn the game in India’s favor. That’s what he showed in his captaincy debut. Sky made a 42-ball 80 and helped India win. This is his favourite format, and he is expected to fire in the second game as well.

5. Tilak Varma :

Tilak Varma will be another exciting player to watch out for. He has been in good form and looked good in the last game. The left-hander has shown great maturity whenever he has gotten a chance in the team, he will be desperate to make the most of the chance on Sunday.

6. Rinku Singh :

Rinku Singh is the new finisher in the town. He showed why he is rated so highly in the first game and finished the match with a six. Though it didn’t count because it was a no-ball, Rinku will play a crucial role for India in batting. His ability to soak up the pressure and perform will help India groom a much-needed finisher in him.

7. Axar Patel :

Axar Patel had an off day after coming back from the injury. He bowled four overs for 32 and got out for 2 runs. But he is a better player than that, and he knows that his performance in this series will help him get back in the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Hence, he will be looking to do it better this time around.

8. Ravi Bishnoi :

Ravi Bishnoi was the one that provided India with the first breakthrough in the last game, but then he was taken for cleaners by Josh Inglis. But the leg spinner can be a challenging spinner because of the variations he has. He will be looking to bounce back in the second game before the management looks to replace him.

9. Arshdeep Singh :

Arshdeep Singh started well with the ball in the powerplay but gave up 41 runs in his spell. The left-arm pacer got a good swing, and he was troubling the batters. He will be very lethal in Thiruvananthapuram under overcast conditions and will be the threat with the new ball for Australia in the second game.

10. Mukesh Kumar :

India conceded 208 runs, but Mukesh Kumar was the best bowler for India. He just conceded 32 runs in four overs and bowled a brilliant final over with some excellent wide yorkers. Mukesh has grown match by match and will be looking to pick up a few wickets for India in the second game.

11. Prasidh Krishna :

Prasidh Krishna was targeted by Australian batters up front, and he was very expensive and ended up with a spell of 1/50. India will look to give him another chance, and he will be looking to do well this time around. Krishna will get a good bounce in Thiruvananthapuram, and with his pace, he can be a different prospect to handle on his day.
