The third IND vs AUS ODI will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney on October 25 (Saturday).

Indian Cricket Team are pulling their socks up for the third and final ODI against Australian Cricket Team, scheduled to be played on Saturday, October 25 at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. With India trailing 2-0 in the three-match series, the third encounter will be a dead-rubber game.

Australia, led by Mitchell Marsh in the absence of captain Pat Cummins, have sealed the ODI series after their back-to-back victories in the first two games. In the opening ODI at Optus Stadium in Perth, the Men in Yellow outplayed India by seven wickets by chasing a 131-run target. Marsh was adjudged Player of the Match (POTM) for his outstanding knock of an unbeaten 46 runs in the encounter, which was reduced to 26 overs per innings due to rain.

The hosts repeated their heroics against the visitors in the second ODI at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, clinching a victory by two wickets in a nail-biting clash. This time, they restricted Shubman Gill & Co. at 264/9 in the first innings with a four-wicket haul by Adam Zampa, and later reached the target with half-centuries by Matthew Short (74) and Cooper Connolly (61*). Zampa was awarded Player of the Match for his brilliant bowling effort.

While the Shubman Gill-led side have lost the series, they will aim to end the campaign on a positive note by winning the final encounter in Sydney. However, they need to elevate their performance in both batting and bowling departments to overpower Australia’s supremacy at home.
