Indian Cricket Team will aim for a comeback in the three-match series when they take on Australian Cricket Team in the second ODI on Thursday, October 23. The encounter, which will be played at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, will be a do-or-die game for the Men in Blue as they trail 1-0 in the series.

Mitchell Marsh & Co. outplayed the visitors in the opening game with both the ball and bat. In the rain-affected clash, which was reduced to 26 overs per side, the Aussies restricted India for 136/9 after opting to field first.

Facing a top-order collapse at the start, India lost four wickets for just 45 runs on the scoreboard, losing prominent batters Rohit Sharma (8), Virat Kohli (0), Shubman Gill (10), and Shreyas Iyer (11) cheaply. KL Rahul (38) and Axar Patel (31) helped the team reach 136/9 with their decent knocks.

However, the total wasn’t enough for the visitors as the hosts chased down the DLS revised target of 131 in 22 overs. Captain Mitchell Marsh starred for the hosts with his unbeaten 46, which also earned him Player of the Match award.

In the second game, it will be interesting to see how captain Shubman Gill modifies his tactics to help India make a comeback in the clash. Gill, who was appointed as the new ODI captain ahead of the series, would leave no stones unturned to evade a series defeat in his first assignment. Moreover, Rohit and Kohli will also be in focus after their batting failure in the opening game and will aim for a better show in Adelaide.
