Captain KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav’s cautious approach provided India a 1-0 lead in the 3-match IND vs AUS ODI series. Team India defeated Australia by 5 wickets in the first ODI at PCA Stadium in Mohali ending their 27-year losing streak against Australia in Mohali. India's last win against Australia at this venue came in 1996.

KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav’s 80 runs stand for the 5th wicket was a game-changer for India in the game. They were once struggling when Australian captain Pat Cummins got Ishan Kishan (18) caught behind the wicket, India needed 92 runs more in 105 balls.
