IND vs AUS: Most runs, Most wickets after 3rd ODI, Rajkot, 27th September

IND vs AUS: Shubman Gill finished as leading run-scorer and Mohammed Shami ended as leading wicket-taker.
Australia have beaten India in Rajkot as both teams end their pre-World Cup campaign. Australia out-classed India by 66 runs in the third ODI of the three-match IND vs AUS series in Rajkot. India, after winning the first two games in Mohali and Indore, have won the IND vs AUS series by 2-1 and will head into ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as the number one team in ICC ODI rankings.
Australian top-order had a magnificent day at Saurashtra Cricket Stadium. They made good use of the flat wicket. Batting first, David Warner (56) and Mitchell Marsh (96) added 78 runs for the opening wicket in just 8 overs. This collaboration provided a platform for the middle-order to participate in the game without feeling pressed.
All-rounder Mitchell Marsh missed out on his well-deserved century as he was caught at covers by Prasidh Krishna. Kuldeep Yadav helped India curtail Australian middle-order a little, but Steve Smith (74) and Marnus Labuschagne (72) made the job a little tougher. Australia posted 352 runs on the board, giving India a target of 353 runs to chase in batting-friendly conditions.
India did have a great start, but Glenn Maxwell’s 4-wicket spell ruined the start and provided Australia with much-needed control in the game. Rohit Sharma (81) and Virat Kohli (56) had a great comeback with the bat, but Maxwell’s off-spin won the game for Australia. Now, these two teams will take on each other in Chennai on October 8.
