The third IND vs AUS ODI took place at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney on October 25.

Indian Cricket Team had the last laugh as they crushed Australian Cricket Team by nine wickets in the third ODI at Sydney Cricket Stadium in Sydney on Saturday, October 25. However, the three-match series went to the hosts by a margin of 2-1, winning the first two games.

In Sydney, Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss for the third time in a row and opted to bat first. However, the Shubman Gill & Co. did not allow the hosts to go big with the bat, bowling them out for 236 runs in 46.4 overs, with Matt Renshaw (56) being the only batter to score a fifty.

Harshit Rana led India’s bowling attack with his four-wicket haul, while Washington Sundar clinched two wickets. In the chase, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a decent start, piling up an opening stand of 69 runs.

After Gill lost his wicket for 24 runs in the 11th over, Rohit and Virat Kohli powered India to a magnificent victory by nine wickets within 39 overs. While Rohit hammered an unbeaten century of 121* runs, Kohli added 74 runs as the duo etched an unbeaten stand of 168 runs to take the team home.

With his century in the third ODI, Rohit Sharma finished as the highest run-scorer in the three-match series with 202 runs. Australia’s Matthew Short (112) and Matt Renshaw (107) are next batters in the list, followed by their teammates Mitchell Marsh (98) and Cooper Connolly (84) at the fourth and fifth spots respectively.
