The third IND vs AUS T20I took place at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart on November 2.

The third T20I between Australian Cricket Team and Indian Cricket Team took place on Sunday, November 2 at Bellerive Oval, Hobart, where the Suryakumar Yadav & Co. crushed Australia by five wickets to make a comeback in the series, which is now tied 1-1 after three games.

Winning the toss for the first time in the ongoing series, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav opted to bowl first in the match. Pacer Arshdeep Singh, who was included in the playing XI after missing the first two games, gave big blows to Australia at the start by dismissing Travis Head and Josh Inglis for single digits. Mitchell Marsh also failed to go big this time, becoming a victim of Varun Chakravarthy for 11 runs.

After a poor start, Tim David played an outstanding knock of 74 runs off 38 balls with five sixes, and was well supported by Marcus Stoinis (64 off 39). Matthew Short added quickfire 26 runs towards the end as Australia finished with 186/6 on the scoreboard.

In the chase, India lost openers Abhishek Sharma (25) and Shubman Gill (15) in the powerplay overs to Nathan Ellis. After that, Suryakumar Yadav (24) and Tilak Varma (29) added crucial runs on the board.

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, India maintained their run rate of 10+ since the start. Towards the end, Washington Sundar (49*) and Jitesh Sharma (22*) propelled the team to victory by five wickets with their unbeaten knocks.

Indian opener Abhishek Sharma, who scored 25 runs in the game, continues to be the leading run-scorer of the series with 112 runs, followed by Tim David with 75 runs, who scored 64 in today’s game. Marcus Stoinis (70) and Suryakumar Yadav (64) are next on the list of batters with most runs in the ongoing T20I series.
