IND vs AUS: Twitter trolls KL Rahul for his poor wicket-keeping in 1st ODI in Mohali

KL Rahul has been poor behind the wickets in the ongoing IND vs AUS 1st ODI in Mohali.
Indian captain KL Rahul had a disappointing day so far behind the stumps against Australia in the first ODI at PCA Stadium in Mohali. Rahul has been unlucky to miss out on a few run-out opportunities and looked under a bit of pressure. Rahul is leading the Indian team in the absence of Rohit Sharma as he has been rested along with Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav for the first two ODIs in the ongoing series.
Rahul missed easy chances
KL Rahul missed an easy chance of run-out to dismiss Marnus Labuschagne who went on to score 39 runs and add 45 runs for the 4th wicket along with all-rounder Cameron Green. Rahul failed to collect a throw from covers when Labuschagne was halfway down the wicket. Rahul’s missed chance allowed Labuschagne to get back easily. The Indian wicket-keeper also failed to collect a few throws from fielders and looked sloppy.
Fans are not impressed with KL Rahul’s effort behind the stumps and they have severely criticised him for his dismal efforts. He has become a reason for memes on social media after his poor show behind the stumps. One social media user posted that KL Rahul’s pad has done more work behind the stumps than KL Rahul himself is doing. A lot of misfields have also happened from Indian fielders. They have also pointed out that he has no role in Labuschagne’s stumping as well.
Here's how twitter reacted to KL Rahul's poor show behind the wickets:
Marnus Labuschagne got out in an unfortunate manner. He was trying to play a reverse sweep against Ravichandran Ashwin but failed to connect the ball. Behind the stumps, Rahul also failed to collect it and the ball after touching Rahul’s pad went on to hit stumps and bails were dislodged before the batsman tried to get back to his crease.
Indian fans are also not impressed with the team's fielding efforts in Mohali. Lots of misfields have allowed Australian batters to keep the scoring rate going. Indian bowlers have also failed to build dot ball pressure due to several misfields by the Indian fielders.
