IND vs ENG test at the Lord’s hangs evenly poised after first two days of action.

The England Cricket Team and the Indian Cricket Team had a decent outing on day two of the ongoing third test at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. The hosts posted a challenging first innings total of 387 and then took three Indian wickets as well.

England resumed their innings at 251/4 on day two. And they had a torrid start to the day as Jasprit Bumrah had his tail up. He removed Ben Stokes (44) and Joe Root (104), who got to his 37th test ton on the first ball of the day, and Chris Woakes.

England was under pressure and was reeling at 271/7. However, Jamie Smith (51) and Brydon Carse (56) joined hands, adding 84 runs for the eighth wicket.

Their partnership took England to over 380 runs, which didn’t seem possible at one stage. Jasprit Bumrah took fifer for India as they ended England’s innings on 387.

In response, India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored three boundaries in the first over, to Jofra Archer in the second over. After that, KL Rahul (53*) and Karun Nair (40) added 61 runs for the second wicket.

Skipper Shubman Gill (16) fell early at the Lord’s as England took command of the game. Rahul got his 19th fifty in the tests and was there at the crease along with Rishabh Pant (19*) as India were 145/3 at stumps on day two.
